General Services

  • Membership

    • The students, research scholars, staff and faculty members of the AIKTC can avail the KRRC facilities.
    • Students & Research Scholars: First step is to approach the KRRC along with FOUR stamp size color Photos and Fee Receipt after obtaining their Roll No.
    • Faculty & Staff: First step is to register with the KRRC as a member by filling the membership form available at the help desk (along with a passport size photograph)

  • Borrowing Privileges

    • The students, research scholars, staff and faculty members of the AIKTC can avail the KRRC facilities.
    • The details of the member categories and their entitlements are given below:

    Note: Borrowers are to produce their own Library Cards when borrowing library materials. Borrower card is non-transferable. Library facilities will be withdrawn for students misusing cards.  No books or library materials may be brought out of the Library until the loan has been recorded.

    Renewals: Two renewals are permitted if no reservations are placed against the books. Books must be presented physically at the library counter for renewal.

    Restricted categories of reading material: Reference books, Loose Issues, Bound Volumes, Newspapers, AV materials, Theses & Dissertations, and any other material placed under restricted categories will not be lent out ordinarily.

    Loss of the Library Card: The loss of a library card must be reported immediately in writing to the Librarian. Duplicate library cards will be issued upon payment of Rs. 50/- within one week from the date of reporting to ensure continued membership.

    Loss/ Mutilation of books:

    • In case of damage or loss of a book, the member must immediately report it to the Library by filling out the RRS Form.
    • Users may be required to replace the book or pay the cost of replacement. The replacement cost of a book will be the latest price as per the accession register or market price, whichever is higher, plus a 10% handling charge, within 15 days of reporting.
    • If a book is out of print and its list price is unknown, the price will be determined by the Librarian in consultation with the Library Chairman.

    Care of Library Materials: Students must handle library materials with care. Marking with pencil, writing or highlighting, tearing pages, or any other form of mutilation will be taken seriously. Readers will be held responsible unless these issues are brought to the notice of library staff at the time of issue.

  • Reference Services

    The Library is extending reference services to the users of the library. Most of the reference oriented Text books and General books have been kept in reference and active stack area for reference only by the users of the library.
  • Digital Library & Wi-Fi

    Do’s:

    • The facility is available on all working days and hours.
    • Users should enter the name and other details in the register before browsing the Internet. 
    • Internet facility is open for the registered users of the AIKTC only. No outsider will be allowed to use this facility.
    • Members must carry their ID card while using the Digital Library. They must show their ID card on demand.
    • Digital Library is to be used for academic purposes only.
    • User should make folder to save his/her files if required in My Computer & delete file/folder after complete work.  If data is lost, Library staff will not be responsible.
    • Users must observe copyright regulations and provision in respect of all digital contents.

     

    Don’ts:

    • Do Not Share Your Username and Password (Institute Services): Your login credentials are personal and should not be shared with anyone. Sharing this information can compromise your account security, and the institute will not be responsible for any issues arising from unauthorized access.
    • Online chatting/dating, browsing of social networking sites is strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
    • User should not to share their Internet access ID and Password with other students.
    • Changing the settings and add or remove any software in the computer is not permitted.
    • Use of laptops on the Digital Library section where computers are already installed is not permitted.
    • Readers should not remove/unplug computer cables/connections, network cables and other peripherals/accessories in the library.
    • Do not install or uninstall any program or service in any computer. This is only a preserve of the Library staff.

  • Purchase/Subscription Service

    • Book/s: Want to suggest new book/s to the library, download recommendation form and submit to the library.

  • Scanning Facility

    A scanner is available in the library to facilitate to take color images for presentation purposes and other academic activities.
  • Library NOC/ Clearance Certificate

    • Library books are the property of the library. Before taking the final University Examination or termination connection with the college, it is the responsibility of each and every member to return all library books, to settle all the library dues if any.
    • At the time of getting their library clearance, the students are required to bring their Identity – Card & Library Card(s). While coming for getting clearance from the library, the students should bring "NO DUE CERTIFICATE FORM" from the account section.
    • All the staff members at the time of retirement should get the "No – Dues certificate" from the library. The Teaching Staff – members appointed on Ad – hoc basis must obtain clearance certificate from the library (in case of resignation or Termination). The administrative office of the college should intimate to the library regarding the concerned retired person, or about the faculty/staff who have resigned or have been terminated.
