Three Days National Workshop on “Design & Development of Digital Libraries Using Dspace”

Knowledge Resources & Relay Centre (KRRC) had set up an Institutional Repository archiving facility for the AIKTC’ian research community, using the DSpace open source software and also organized a 3 days workshop on it.

Participants: 18 LIS professionals from various educational institutions.

Resource Persons: Dr. A.R.D. Prasad-Professor, DRTC-ISI | Dr. Sunita Barve -Senior Technical Officer, NCL, Pune | Dr. Nanaji Shewale-Librarian, NCL Pune

Objectives:

The main objective of the workshop is intended to equip participants with skills for developing their own digital libraries/ institutional repositories. There were lectures as well as intensive hands-on training sessions by experts in the field. Thus it provided both theoretical
base and practical skill to the participants.
Participants and Resources persons were very impressed by the Management support to library and hospitality given during the event.
After screening the feedback of participants, we found that the event
was excellent & informative.
