On the occasion of “International Mother Language Day (21^st Feb.) and Marathi Bhasha Diwas (27^th Feb.)” Central Library organized Essay Competition from 21st to 27th Feb. on the following theme:

1. View on ‘multilingual education – a necessity to transform education’.
2.   मराठी भाषाच्या प्रयोग वाढवण्यासाठी तरुणांनी कशा प्रकारचे प्रयत्न करणे अपेक्षित आहे? (What kinds of efforts are expected to be made by the youth to increase the use of Marathi language?)

In total, 11 students and ONE faculty member from the Institute submitted essays.  Prof. Rajat Sonawane (Faculty, SoA), Prof. Maria Lal (Faculty, SoP), and Dr. Nusrat Junaidi (Faculty, HAS) evaluated them based on three criteria: Content, Presentation, Grammar and Spelling (Adherence to Topic, Length, and Wow-Factor).  Based on their judgment marks, the library announced THREE winners on 6^th March 2023.
