The session began with an overview of research and the research pathway. Although students commonly use Google for literature searches, they often encounter an overwhelming amount of information, much of which is irrelevant. The session aimed to teach students effective Google search strategies, including basic and advanced search techniques, the use of Boolean operators, and truncation. Additionally, it covered the use of Google tools such as Google Scholar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets to help record and share search histories with group members or guides.
